Cobira enters into IoT-connectivity collaboration with Telia Denmark to strengthen joint delivery of industrial IoT services

Cobira already provides a great IoT Connectivity Service, but this agreement provides even wider coverage on NB-IOT and CAT-M in Europe and perfectly supports our industrial IoT platform strategy in KMD
— Mads Bonne, Innovation Director at KMD

With the Telia agreement, Cobira secures further LPWAN coverage in the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as in a number of countries in Europe and thus strengthen an already strong global mobile coverage of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G with over 700 networks in more than 200 countries and regions.

The agreement with Telia brings Cobira’s total LPWAN coverage up to more than 40 countries and provides a strong foundation for those of Cobira’s customers using NB-IOT and CAT-M in their IoT solutions.

Jens-Peter Meesenburg, Head of IoT Sales DK, Telia: “Telia has chosen to partner with Cobira, as we believe their approach to the market is the right one. There is tremendous potential for industrial IoT in the market and the LPwan technologies are ideal for most industrial IoT solutions”

Allan Dickow, CTO, Cobira: “Our platform and solution is designed to accelerate the integration and use of IoT connectivity in existing, as well as new product portfolios for companies such as KMD, and other IT-Companies and system integrators. The use and relevance of LPWA connectivity in a wide range of Industrial and Smart City IoT cases is extremely useful, and the collaboration with Telia is an important step for Cobira, especially due to their strong LPWA network coverage for both NB-IoT and CAT-M1 in Denmark, the Nordics and more widely around the world”

KMD is one of Denmark's largest IT-houses and develops IT solutions for the state and municipality as well as private companies. KMDs goal is to meet all aspects of the changing digital needs of today's modern society and organizations. As a part of its network services KMD uses Cobira's platform and mobile data agreements to deliver IoT connectivity to its customers.
