Megger has recently launched a new product & service for powerline monitoring. Stretching over several thousands of kilometers in areas across the world, powerlines are exposed to various external influences like extreme weather conditions or even natural disasters. Faults and failures often occur on powerlines, and much time and effort are spent in locating and rectifying these faults in cases where monitoring systems are not in place. The product uses cellular IoT-connectivity to report the powerline status to the operating company.
